Saying that.. OH bought me some wireless headphones for Xmas last year. I’ve never seen them once, they’re always in his lugs. So that’s why I got those.. at least he wouldn’t steal me pan

I got a crepe pan once. I think the subtext was that I should make him roti. He got a talking to about buying me only "fun" kitchen things in future.

I also got headphones "from Chewie" one year, because he munched my old ones. That was rather thoughtful.

It's a good point Swampy. He does seem happier. The other Sunday morning he jumped up and we let him stay cos how can you not? Anyway we ended up sleeping in and missed dog training! Maxx had 3/4 of the king bed and we had the other. Sounds pretty fair

I got a Magimix for our first wedding anniversary. I was thrilled, he'd been saving up for months and it's going strong 10 yrs on, makes the best pastry.

@Lab_adore , Kipper has also been sneaking/wrecking ball-ing his way onto the bed...he's just so thrilled I don't have the heart to put him off, and now he's very good at napping under the bed if we have a little nap on the bed Nothing like it, I agree @MrChew

@HAH I've still got my Magimix 24 years on, it never lets me down. I made all my babies homemade food in it and froze it in ice cube trays. Pastry I am rubbish at, can't get it right x

I totally get that...but my father gave my mother a microwave one year for Christmas and she was THRILLED. Really truly thrilled. Of course that was back in the days when microwaves were like the latest iPhone.

Kind of a similar topic but what made me smile was a crushed ice maker I bought yesterday. I've been hunting for ice cube trays (not a common item in Germany it seems) and yesterday I found ice cube trays plus this weird looking flat thing that said it made crushed ice. Not a machine, just a little plastic tray. It was 8 EUR and frankly I figured I'd have more luck trying to use 8 EUR in coins to try to crush ice cubes but ever the eternal optimist (and crushed ice aficionado), I plunked down my money.

When I got it home, opened the package and saw how it supposedly worked, I was even less hopeful. Yet I filled it up, stuck it in my miniscule freezer and forgot about it.

This afternoon I got it out of the freezer, followed the rest of the instructions and...CRUSHED ICE!!! Yahoo!!!! Don't know how long it will last as the materials seem flimsy, but if I even get a couple weeks use out of it, I'll call it a good buy. I'm quite tickled with the orange juice "smoothly" I'm currently munching on.
