What made you smile today?

Agreed! You are a more patient woman than I, Jen. Also, thankfully I married a night owl.
Patient., stupid more like! 🙈

In his defence (begrudgingly) the first weeks when he was off I was breastfeeding so he couldn’t do them.

Then he went back to work and he works shifts - so he either has to be up at half 5, doesn’t get home until nearly midnight or is on a night shift anyway.

He’s also a lazy sleep hog but that’s another matter 🤔

This afternoon there was a family party of tiny wrens who must only just have left the nest, following parents and chirruping around my garden. Cassie just slept and barely paid them any attention, until there was a flurry of activity in a shrub with lots of fluttering up and down, the chase reflect kicked in and she shot across the lawn. In order to save them I shouted I don't know what "Leave" I think and then sit, which she did.
Such was my desire to reward her curtailment of the wish to chase I grabbed the nearest available thing ---- a large bowl of raspberries and cream on the outside table !:rofl:

She couldn't believe her luck and scoffed the lot and licked the bowl clean while I laughed out loud!!

Win for the wren family, win for Cassie, win for you! :celebrate::rofl:

The subject matter wasnt funny , but the outcome amused me . A lady reported her Labrador as missing from a large woodland in Cornwall , she was understandably frantic with worry , especially as they dont know the area but are on holiday . Some time later after searching throughout the woods , they had a call to say that he had been found and was happily sitting at the cafe eating sausages , wouldnt it just be a Lab ? x
