Went to a yard that sells reclaimed stone today to look for some black slate for my hearth. A man asked if he could help and when I told him what I wanted he said ' You'll 'ave to talk to young 'un on t'forklift. After a couple of minutes 'young 'un' climbed down from the forklift. He was about seven foot tall and looked as if he was in his mid fifties if he was a day. This made me smile and feel nearly like a young 'in myself!

I have just taken Red to the kennels for a one nighter. She was so excited to be there. One of the staff said ‘is that Red?’ So I say yes. She then said ‘we all know Red?’ and I said ‘has she got a reputation then?’ She said ‘oh no, we all love Red, she has such a lovely nature’. That made me smile 
but I also got tears big time in the car coming home - feel such an emotional mess at the moment - crying over Sky and my mum’s illness yet trying to put on a positive/strong face for mum. I know it’s ok to feel like this but......

I was on my way to the vet with Finn for his annual checkup when my son messaged me if I was home for coffee. I told him I was on my way to the vet. He then asked me if I was troubled with kennel cough....!!
