So my parents sneakily ordered us a dinner delivery for our anniversary- from the amazing Indian restaurant that catered our wedding reception. And the restaurant threw in a bottle of wine. So now I'm full of tandoori chicken, naan and wine and have been doing a virtual escape room with OH for the last two hours.

A good evening!

I've been gradually introducing Joy to the joy of bubbles......well, trying to! I started yesterday when it wasn't windy, so they didn't fly around so much and startle her. First of all I let her taste the bubble mixture which is peanut butter flavour and she seemed to quite like it. Then I let her sniff and lick the bubble wand. Then I progressed to slowly blowing bubbles with the wand. She tried to catch them a few times then lost interest. Today I repeated the process and then gradually introduced the bubble blowing machine, thinking that might make it more interesting. Well, she had a bit of a look and a sniff but was completely underwhelmed by the experience. Didn't even get out of her bed! I got the distinct feeling that she was only looking and sniffing out of politeness, it was as if she thought she'd better humour me! At least she wasn't frightened this time though! 20200425_152620.jpg20200425_152620.jpg20200425_152802.jpg

I will have to get some pics with Otter @Joy, she loves her bubbles, and goes bonkers if she thinks I am going to play her favourite game!
I think the thing with Joy is probably that her most loved activities are finding and retrieving things and swimming. Bubble don't need to be found, can't be retrieved and don't involve swimming. The fact that they are peanut butter flavour (allegedly) appears to be irrelevant!
