What made you smile today?

I don't even know how to tell if my phone needs charging. I just plug it in every night and there's never been a problem so far. Does this mean I'm a dinosaur or am I doing something right?

Made me smile to see that my step son and his wife are enjoying a two day holiday, in their caravan on their drive  Bless them, they had an Indian meal delivered to them last night , I think their dogs may be a tad confused as the caravan is only yards from their house, but they deserve some fun as she is a carer in a nursing home xx

I'm getting used to shielding. I've just sent my servant out to buy it salmon for my tea. I told him to make it snappy. I just love this lockdown
Haha -- was having this conversation with a colleague the other day -- her 82 year old Mum had asked to go to Tesco on her way home from a night shift because they had got her favourite gin on offer. It's essential of course

Once this is all over we're heading there for a party

Walking along the old railway line today, Joy and I had been playing one of her favourite games where I ask her to sit, then throw a treat for her to catch. Simple I know, but it makes her very happy, which in turn makes me very happy. Anyway, there she was, prancing along by my side, gazing up at me and waiting for the next 'Sit', when we came upon a couple walking towards us. They quickly moved to the side of the track to allow us to pass at a two metre distance (which made a nice change as it's usually us diving into the bushes) so I called Goodmorning and Thankyou to them. The man called back 'What a beautiful happy dog!' I called back 'Thanks, although to be honest it's not difficult to make her happy!' To which he replied 'But that's not just happy, it's infectiously happy!'
This has had me smiling every time I think of it. Perhaps I should get her a collar with 'Infectiously happy ' printed on it!:sun:

Our elderly neighbours always like to say hello to Quinn (and she loves them too). Yesterday we let her run across to see them and their adult daughter was outside visiting and she said “oh all we ever hear about is Quinn this and Quinn that - she’s so good, never barks and stays on her lawn no leash”. It was so cute and I felt so proud of her being such a good girl 😭

It’s my favourite time of day.

OH is up from night shift. Rory has a full tummy, Stanley is fed and happy, all the washing is done, the house is in a reasonable state - time for my my “hour of power” as it is called where I go in the bath, lock the door, put my headphones in and ignore them all.
