What made you smile today?

Lucky girl, I walk with an ex racing greyhound every day, he is a wonderful character, has bare thighs like your friend's dog has, I think it is a thing in some greyhounds. He is off lead the whole time and has a superb recall, turns on a six pence. When he does run, it is thrilling to see, he powers up and goes so fast, fortunately in big circles.

Very sorry to read the ex owner died.

My elderly aunt adopts ex-racing greyhounds. They're perfect dogs for her because of their low exercise requirements. She was a whippet lady when she was more able, but the greyhounds suit her perfectly now and she adores them. She has had a couple of - um - "unfortunate" incidents with their high prey drive, so she always muzzles them when she's out with them now; and they're used to muzzles, so they're cool with that.

My daughter has a brindle greyhound like your friend’s new dog. She had a black greyhound before him. Both ex racers. I think they are lovely dogs. Need little exercise and happy to doze most the day. Couple of short on lead walks and some crazy bonkers moments in the garden. He is a bit bald on the tighs too. Great family dogs ❤

I think they’re going to find it strange if she’s low maintenance and ener
Connor the Greyhound we go out with, has half and hour exercise in the morning and an hour and a half in the afternoon, all off lead and needs to have his mad run (as in racing run) at least once a day. Rourke and Connor are well ahead of us, exploring an enjoying doing things together. Connor can also scent a pheasant at 100yds away!
