One of my nieces sent me this little book in the post, it arrived this morning. She said she knew it would suit me down to the ground (she’s 11) and oh my goodness, it had me sobbing - in a good way. It’s very short but it’s beautifully illustrated and the message is profoundly lovely.
If you get a chance to buy it for yourselves or ask for a copy for Christmas, do - it’s super for any dog lover.

Mine has arrived and I love it. In particular perhaps because the little black labrador on the front cover and at the end of the book looks very like Joy in size and posture. I'm going to have to order three more as Christmas presents!

Just watched a programme about the wonderful Kenneth Williams. Included in it was his brilliant song 'Ma Crêpe Suzette '. I had completely forgotten about this, but it brought back memories of my Dad crying with laughter at it when we watched it one evening as a family and it gave me a really good chuckle tonight as well. Does anyone else remember it? It's still sheer genius! :cwl: :cwl: :cwl:

@Candy, I thought I had watched all of the Kenneth William's programme tonight but was also multi-tasking, so missed the bit about 'Ma Crepe Suzette' and I don't remember it from way back either. However, he did make me laugh.
It was quite a brief interlude which would be easy to miss if you were multi tasking. Wasn't he funny though? I sort of grew up with him around and probably took him for granted, although I did find him funny then. It's only now that I look back and think 'That was sheer genius!'
