What made you smile today?

Our sofa is very uncomfortable , we bought it in haste five years ago , I knew immediately that is was a mistake , the cushions have sunk dreadfully . I really want a new one but because of Covid , its not possible unless we buy online but today , I called in at B&M for a few bits and saw this very large fluffy cushion , cheap and cheerful so I bought it and plonked it on the sofa seat . Reuben is fascinated by it, he has dragged it off twice and taken it to his bed , I``m sure he thinks its his very own fluffy toy , it may not last too long

I`m so pleased and happy  Our village is pretty small and rural but it has not stopped developers from gaining planning for three new estates, meaning that much green land has gone . This morning, the main developer has announced that two fields ( both large ) purchased for housing , are to be gifted back to the village . Not only is this great news , but the parish council have obtained a grant which is to be used to make one field into a sports venue , the larger field will become a leisure area for the village to enjoy, with pathways , an orchard , benches and picnic tables and an area set aside for dog walkers . I`m thrilled to pieces about this, it is just five minutes walk from home

My shed is (I think) not far from completion. After Mark, the friend who's building it for me had left today I went to have a look and take photos to send to various people. This is all I can see of it20210216_150718.jpgIt made me smile because he had said he thought it was going to rain later and he'd done such a thorough job of covering it up, which leads me to think that the shed itself will have been built with the same care. Also he was right about the rain!
