What made you smile today?

Not exactly a smile perhaps, but something that has turned out very much the way I wanted it to. Thismorning we had a walk by the river to the woods and came back via the rugby field where Tess and her Dad were having a ball game. Joy joined in and I asked how the house move was going, adding that I was happy to have Tess at any time if it made things easier. I then added that I know once they have moved it won't be as easy as me just being down the hill as I am now, but I'm still only going to be an hour's drive away and if he ever needed someone to have Tess, I would be only too willing. Then he said that he'd been meaning to ask me if anything 'happened ' to him, would I take Tess. I told him that I would have Tess at the drop of a hat and wouldn't want her to go anywhere else, but he must make this clear to his family. He said that he would tell them and also put it in his will.
I feel so much happier now. I know I can't expect to take Tess from him and that's not what I wanted to do. I just needed to know that if he's not around any more she can come to Joy and me to be looked after. Happy now, that'll do nicely.

I have just received a 'care' package from my lovely Cousin down south. In it is a box of chocolates, a big bar of dairy milk chocolate, some posh lemon drizzle biscuits, hand cream, body lotion, a book about Hatchi & Little B about a wonderful young boy with a rare medical condition and his special relationship with his rescue dog. Lilly's natural dog treats for Hattie & Charlie. Really cheered me up. I am so lucky to have Angie in my life xx :inlove:

I met a man this morning, he was very upset he had lost one of his little dogs yesterday. He had been looking for her for much of the night and then again early morning. I said I would make a poster and put it outside my house. He has just rung he has found her at a farm in the next village, so pleased for him. Good news for a change.
