What made you smile today?

Rory sang to me today. We'd been planting a rose and some lavender played and had fun. I sat on the bench he sat next to me pointed his nose at the sky and sang. Big woooooos yips and aawwoos. So strange he seemed happy so I just let him sing. Meanwhile Iver destroyed plant pots.
I hope you joined in? I love to howl with Jess, it's very therapeutic. And she actually holds a note, which sounds ridiculous but I swear is true. She looks at me and sings while I sing and stops when I stop and together we make a harmonious(ish) and happy howl. Brodie gets too excited and can't hold a note so just barks very quickly. He is very keen to participate, just can't quite figure out how it is done. 😁

We chat to Chewie all the time and he grumbles and grizzles back. Usually he is saying "rub my ears..." Totally normal...

Last night Rowan was getting dressed for bed when he looked at me and said "mummy bootiful gwownup." He is the sweetest little demon child.

Maxx is very vocal - from grunts to whines to almost talking noises and of course barking. He likes to sit on the mat in front of the kitchen bench while Steve is preparing dinner and Steve will say 'hellooooooo Maxx' and Maxx will give a rhow rhow rhow type noise back. Total communication and it is so cute.

Xena had an amazing case of the zoomies this morning after I got her breakfast ready. Grabbed my slipper, did the slipper zoomies around the room complete with this incredible little bounce, like a gazelle. I think it's called sproinking? Well she just sproinked and sproinked and sproinked, it was so cute! Then we went outside so that I could sprinkle her kibble over the lawn and she did more zoomies. Great way to start a Friday!

AND I've had a great first week of term, which is such a relief after the absolute disaster that was term 1. Kids were primarily great, the department was organised, I knew what I had to do and when...couldn't have asked for more.
