What made you smile today?

It was yesterday , when I had a very tiny walk at Golitha . Reuben was practically smiling because I was there, he kept coming to me and touching my hand before running on . When I realised that I must turn round to go back to the car, he was visibly torn , running to me and then to Paul and Nelly . He came to my side and I told him that he must go on without me , I was ok but he had to go with the others . At this, he licked my hand and ran to them as I went back , it made my heart melt just a little xxx

I am seeing my granddaughter who has had covid tomorrow - makes me so happy

R was with my parents outdoors and he wanted to tidy up leaves (a favourite activity) and my mum asked him if he wanted the rake.

"No I want this device." (Pointing at the broom).

We had a walk over to see Shelli and Buddy thismorning to take a couple of small Thankyou presents for them for looking after Joy while I was away on Thursday. They live right on the cycle path to Hebden Bridge, which is also popular with dogs and their walkers. This is what we found outside their front door and it made me smile.

We met Primrose’s brother for a hike this morning. They also have two labs (a chocolate boy) - complete chaos but so fun! They definitely knew each other

My 12 year old granddaughter came yesterday (with my son and little grandson) yesterday. She is the one who has had covid and been very poorly. I gave her the biggest hug ever. I was over the moon seeing her. You can tell she’s been unwell and she appeared to me to have lost weight but she was in excellent spirits and we had such a lovely afternoon.

I am full of gratitude - I have just read in the daily newspaper round up on the BBC news app that a 15 year old girl has died of covid. She was due to get her vaccine and had no underlying health issues - I am feeling so sad for her family

Big smiles this morning when we went to meet the legend that is Speedo Mick , I couldnt get out of the car but it was grand to shake his hand xx
