Our very local Vets is now part of a small group all based in South Cornwall . Ours couldnt fit Reuben in this morning but made us an appointment at one of the others at Lostwithiel , about half an hour away, its where we took Reubs last Sunday after his bad reaction to the meds and where he went for the garlic incident too . When I came out from seeing the lovely Vet, our own Vet was there, she had come to assist in a very complex surgery due this afternoon , Sue knows us very well as she was the one who saw Sam through it all from start to the end . We stood chatting for a while , she remarking how like Sam our Reuben is now, she then enquired after Nelly , I told her that Nelly was doing better than we ever would have thought , given all her issues . One of the nurses said ` I dont think we have seen Nelly here have we ? ` To which Sue laughingly replied , ` No, because once seen, never forgotten ! ` She was of course referring to the horrendous screaming Nelly emitted when she had her nails cut , causing much amusement all round , but then Sue added that our little love was such a character and usually such a braveheart who would tolerate anything being done to her with great humility , apart from having her nails done , made me smile xxx
