What made you smile today?

I've just been talking to my sister, her's has arrived too.
Some I know has had the treatment as she developed covid. She couldn't speak highly enough of the team. She didn't anything would happen as it was over Christmas but the rang her sent her into hospital and she received the transfusion within 48 hours. She felt better the next day. Obviously she still felt a bit rough but nothing to how she would have been without treatment.

Happy, bouncy, itch-free Ella. One dose of Cytopoint and two baths with medicated shampoo and my girl is a different dog. I cannot believe the turnaround, it's incredible.

(I do feel awful to think how itchy she must have been. It was such a slow progression that we didn't realise how bad it had become until it suddenly stopped. But I can't dwell on that for too long...)

Velcro my arch nemesis struck again today. I managed to stick a pair of Pants to my cargo pants leg pocket and go to work. My colleagues well they were very amused but also amazed that I had such a nice pair of pants. There they were in all their glory in full view to the whole world to see. Stuck firmly and brazenly to my pocket velcro.

I was booked for two things thisevening, our monthly book club meeting and a friend's 40th birthday gathering, both in local pubs. I'd decided to opt for the birthday do, as it was nearer to home, a one off, and I could take Joy. I was, however starting to feel a bit uneasy due to the local rise in Covid cases. Then the birthday do was cancelled for those very reasons. I was still feeling unsure about the book club, then that was also cancelled. A year or so ago I would have been upset, but tonight I have had a lovely deep bath with Christmas present smelly stuff, a good beef stew with mashed spuds, a snuggle by the Fireinametalbox with my GGJ and a bit of a natter with all of you. It's been so much nicer than venturing out into the cold and Covid ridden country. Think I'm at risk of becoming a recluse, as long as I've got a Labrador! Makes me smile quite a lot!:giggl:
