What made you smile today?

My sister and husband are down here, just for the weekend staying at a hotel close by . They called in with us lunchtime today and so when I saw their car pulling up , I put Reuben in our bedroom . They are fine with little Nelly but on the whole they dont like big dogs so I thought it the best solution . Reubs was good as gold, never making a sound but suddenly I felt so sorry for him , its his home after all so I let him out . At first he was wary of my BIL who is definitely not a dog person, he even ignores Nelly when she goes to greet him , so Reuben came into the sitting room very cautiously , they know dont they ? After about 10 minutes , he went to say Hello to them both and in fairness , they both very tentatively stroked his big head with which he settled down on his bed and went to sleep, bless him . I wont ever shut him away again , he deserves better and I feel guilty for doing it , I was just worried about his enthusiasm when people visit but its like he knew he had to reign it in today , good lad xxxx

The Darling Boy has grown up now and knows how to behave with whom. GGJ is the same. I really think that if we bring our dogs up with kindness then this brings out the best in them, and somehow they just learn how to Be, which brings joy to a lot of people, and is something that we could do with learning ourselves. Bless dear Reuben, you must be very proud of him.❤

Oh boy, I am really smiling this morning and yes, its only a little thing that caused the smiles but I am really chuffed . I`ve been after a vintage Lloyd Loom laundry basket for ages and this morning one popped up on a selling page on FB and even better, it was in our village and even better it was only 15 pounds and even better, it fits in our bathroom like it has grown there

A message from Shelli, who's been looking after Joy for me while I've been poorly: her Lab, Buddy keeps stealing Joy's ball while she isn't looking. However, Joy has now found where the balls are kept and keeps on producing one after the other as if off a conveyor belt. Poor Buddy just doesn't know what to do with them all! She's a clever girl! Is it me, or does she look a tiny bit smug in this photo? It made me chuckle anyway!:cwl::cwl:IMG-20220710-WA0003.jpg
