He really is just as sweet and gentle as Joy. My neighbours say it's because he's socialized with her more than any other dog, which also makes me smile. Apparently he looks for her and cries when we go away.

That's the sweetest thing @Candy, and very intelligent of them.

My cheeky boy made me smile today. He lost his water bottle at preschool today. At first he said it that he, C and F lost their bottles because they did not look after them which seems likely.

Then "the wind blew them away."

Then "a different kid" whose name he didnt know, but the teachers know, threw it off the roof.

Then "a wolf ate it. It is in the wolf's tummy now."

My washing machine has just failed. I've looked on utube and think I can fix it. What's the betting it's blocked with Labrador fluff.

As expected Labrador fur, random fluff and 5p were the culprits. All better now and washing the clothes. Utube was correct.

GGJ and I had a lovely visit to Rochdale today, to catch up with Mags and Tatze and to meet little Ted for the first time.....It's the last time that we'll visit them in this house, but the thought of going down to see them once they're settled into their house near Bristol is making me smile. Thankyou for a lovely day and I hope your move goes smoothly.

I am strangely Home Alone tonight, as tomorrow morning I fly out to Turkey for the holiday I booked over two years ago and GGJ has gone to stay with Roberta, her new dog sitter. I'll be leaving home at about 6.30am, so I wanted to take Joy there thisevening and leave her there quietly and calmly, rather than rushing in the morning. Roberta has asked if it's OK to send me photos and I said 'Yes, of course! At least one a day please!' Apparently she kept sending photos to someone else whose dog she was looking after and got a message asking her to stop, because 'We're supposed to be on holiday here' !!!!
Anyway, she has sent me photos and videos and I can see my girl gradually settling in more and more and Roberta has sent a message saying what a sweet, polite and GoodGirl she is being. I replied that she can get a bit cheeky too, nose nudging for treats, or biffing with a paw for attention and ball games. Roberta has just sent back 'Tee hee! She has just biffed me for more cuddles!'
So I'm smiling now, knowing that she's settling in, in good hands, and I'm starting my next adventure tomorrow!
