We have 2 apple trees in the garden and the last few are dropping off daily (they are all rotten!) Harley has learned that if she gets one and brings it in that I will get her to drop it and leave it that she will get a slice of a ‘good’ apple. She started a few months ago then stopped for a while, then started again over the weekend. She walks in and just looks at me with it in her mouth. She is so funny 😂

They have that 'different' look when carrying something like an apple or mine when he has pinched something out of the bin and brings it to show me :)

This morning , Reuben off to Playgroup , we went to Mole Valley for a sack of dog food which I always pay for and then we drive to the warehouse round the back and some kind person brings it out and puts it in the car . There was a little queue so I handed over the payment slip and got Nelly out for a little walk round when out he came, sack over his shoulder and went to put it in the boot . He did a bit of a double take when he saw Nelly , it was gundog food ( which they both eat ! ) but I could imagine him wondering why on earth we were buying it for a Chihuahua X ! xx

It's because she's a little dog with a big heart!

I just asked OH to go and bring my shooting glasses in from his truck as they were not in my little bag of stuff..he came back in and said they weren't there. NO! NO! NO! - they are not the most expensive on the market..but not the cheapest either. 4 sets of lenses. I am so mad with myself, they must have fallen out of the truck either when we stopped for chips, or after that when we stopped at the butchers. Both places a goodly drive away. And where would anyone hand them in anyway? Cursing myself. I nipped out for a last check in the truck....lifted a hat that was hooked over one of the gear levers and there they were. Got to love a Man-Look (no disrespect to men, I mean he didn't have to go out in the first place to look - I was being lazy). I am now smiling.

I am now going to put a little card inside the case with my telephone number on.

I know that Reuben enjoys his Playgroup , I`ve seen the photos of him having a blast and whilst its a restful day for me , I really miss him . He has this routine , the big van pulls up , Misty from over the road gets out first to go home , followed by Mia ( Ridgeback ) who lives next door to Misty the greyhound , then its his turn . If I go to the door , Anna lets go of the lead and he comes thundering down the path ,big fuss for us and Nelly and then straight to the kitchen for his treat biscuit , out for a wee , big drink of water followed by tea and then zonk , onto his bed and barely moves until bedtime , sometimes he even wags his tail in his sleep , love him xxx
