What made you smile today?

I just want to share a positive NHS story because I know people have been becoming a bit disillusioned with things.

I found a lump in my breast last Wednesday. I called the GP who made me an appointment the same day.

I went to the GP who referred me to the breast clinic and I got an appointment for today.

Went for an appointment today and an ultrasound and a chat with a lovely consultant later, I have been told I have a lipoma and it’s nothing to worry about. I think less than 6 days later is a pretty impressive turnaround.

So me and Stanley are also one with our fatty lumps on our chests 🤣
That’s a relief to a really big worry. So pleased it’s nothing nasty.

A couple of days ago I was on the phone to my son and when he went out of signal for a few seconds we both started shouting " Hello, Hello" like we do when that happens :giggl:,.

Cass, who had a very satisfactory outing and was fast asleep, sat up and looked at the back door, clearly thinking someone was there. Then she looked back at me, very obviously clocked the phone in my hand and that I was speaking into it, sighed very loudly and curled up and went back to sleep!

I did have to chuckle!

I love it how you can see them think and they are very clever :D

Yes, absolutely this, everyday I can see how she watches me and therefore can predict my behaviour pretty much. From what shoes I wear to go out to whether or not I make my tea in a pot and put on a tray.
It's the great thing about this stage of her life, no longer the energetic physical whirlwind but a much more thoughtful companion.

When we live with our single dog alone, we do commune mind to mind x
