Just booked flights to stay with my Mum and Dad for Christmas. It's going to be bloomin' hot in Far North QLD, my bank account hurts a little and we'll miss Ella soooooooooooooo much (especially because opening presents from Santa is basically her favourite thing ever) but it will be nice to spend Christmas with family 🥰

Snap, we are going back to Magnetic Island for Christmas! We loved it so much we are thinking about moving up there in a few years but wanted first to find out just how hot it is in summer. Winter is so perfect but I fear even though we both love the heat it might be a bit too much. We shall see

We managed to get business class seats on FF points as Townsville has a lot of seats unlike places like Cairns. The accommodation costs did make my eyes water though

Yep, see how you go with the weather but try to remember you won't be working when you're living there! I know I couldn't live in PD but that's because we're a crazy busy family running around with kids and jobs and all of that. Mum and dad have found that it's crazy hot before the wet hits but life adjusts accordingly. Dad loves diy and projects around the house so the summer is for inside work and the dry is when he focuses on the outside. They still get out and golf/bowls in the hot but you just adjust to being dripping wet all day 🤣

We managed to get the flight home with points so only having to pay one way has saved us. 4 seats on a flight on the 21st Dec 😱😱

Beautiful Ella now has a nightly routine of saying goodnight, running into the bedroom and jumping on the bed as Jackson feels so safe when Ella has "checked" the room for him.

Hello!
Sorry I haven't been in touch, it's because I've been having The Most Amazing Holiday Ever in Canada!
I have absolutely loved visiting this beautiful country, and have enjoyed experiences that I never could have imagined. Just now though I have been travelling for 29 hours and am about ready to drop!
I'm smiling though, because it's so good to be back home with my GGJ. Off to bed now, photos etc tomorrow. How lovely to be home with you all again!xxx

So glad you had a fantastic holiday @Candy and I know all about long travel days - they are very challenging. Really looking forward to hearing more and seeing some pictures. Holidays are awesome but coming home to our fur children is equally wonderful
