I’ve kept Stanley away from the spit up I’m such a mean mam to him!

Baby shopping was the best - what did you get? I loved shopping for my pram and decorating the nursery.

I spent a fortune and got farrrrr too much and now spend my time putting him between items to try and get my moneys worth

I would have loved that rocking cot thingie - my first needed to be moving at all times or he screamed. It would have saved hours of ‘dancing’ with the baby - even car journeys just to get him quiet for half an hour!

When my son (now 37) was a few weeks old, he cried so much (he was hungry all the time), the Health Visitor took pity on me and took him off in her car for the afternoon so I could have a break. That would never happen today, would it?

(I have to add when he got to 3 months he became a model baby who used the attract a whole load of ‘groupie’ mum’s when we did the school run for my daughter )

My son screamed solidly for about 6 months - it was horrible. He’d scream indoors, in the buggy, in the car, in the baby carrier on my front, in the rucksack on my back.
My mum would arrive and say “I could hear him screaming as I came up the drive.”

I found breastfeeding really hard but I kept going as it was the only way to shut him up!
