What made you smile today?

Me, Rory and Stanley went out for a walk today and Stanley was trotting along next to the pram perfectly with a happy gurgling baby inside.

We walked past a man who gave us a big smile and he said “how lovely”.

I felt like the proudest mam in the world with my two babies 😇

I love your enjoyment of the simple, free and natural things in our world @Selina27 Imagining you and Cassie in what sounds like a magical garden made me smile today x
This has made me smile an even bigger warmer smile :):sun:

For this I am grateful to my parents, who unconsciously taught me to do so, my Dad always found birds nests and passed on his country wisdom. When I left home I used to look forward to letters from my Mum, pen and ink on Basildon Bond writing paper, with a stamp, which would tell me not only local news but when the first snowdrops and primroses had been seen. Actually, a priceless legacy.
Added to which, it seems to be something my childrens father and I have passed onto our son and daughter. They will often come in and say that they've just seen a hare on the driveway, or a kite overhead.

What made me smile this morning was sitting in warm sunshine in my garden , finally, and having my breakfast after a night shift. It was glorious, birds singing, no noise and the scent from my honeysuckle simply delectable, with Cassie waiting oh so patiently for her morning walk, like she does. She's a good girl like that, rarely hassles :)
How lovely @Selina27. We all should remember to take time out to enjoy our beautiful world and appreciate our faithful dogs

Had a lovely time at the park this morning g with husband and Chewie. Hot coffee in hand (was bloody cold), throwing a ball for the dog. The fair weather dog walkers stay away, so we have a bit more space and Chewie was a star. He didn't even move towards the Maltese that was pottering around and was much more focused on us.

His friend Rudy then turned up. He is the most beautiful rescue mixed breed, one floppy ear and one upright, goofy smile, tricolour markings and all tall and lean. They had a good run and when they got too far away, or too close to the tai chi people's bags (eek! Emergency recall in case they had snacks!) or the playground I blew the whistle and Chewie absolutely raced back. I never would have imagined this a few months ago.
