It’s actually a herbaceous perennial RHS description , but the flowers on some of them do look more like grasses. The common name for mine is Great Burnet .

Oh yes! There it is! My beautiful Lilac Squirrel with its posh name! It flourishes so very well in my garden and appears to be both slug and snail proof. I just love it!

he’s an agronomist, particularly into grassland. does your son want to go into agriculture? Or is he having a bit of a breather to take stock?Love this! And spot on of course.

He will do something agriculturally related, his Dad farms, beef and sheep and he's helping him at the moment, then he will do the harvest for a local contractor. Both a breather and he can get some much needed money together.
He's looking at opportunities with a local organisation set up a few years ago to improve the 2 main rivers in our area, which has done great things, but probably not until the autumn.
His girlfriend has another year at University, they both love their travel, so we will see!

Proud granny this afternoon - all 4 granddaughters were taking part in Annie - it was 15 minutes singing, acting and dancing on the vicarage lawn as part of the annual church fête. They were all so confident and enthusiastic despite the high temperatures

Arrived in Scotland about 2 hours ago for 2 months. Having a cuppa looking out at our views with my dogs and some of our children. Still bright blue sky and won't get dark until around 10.30 - 11 pm. I feel so happy here. Perfect!! xxx

It's been a hot day today and I know he has some pain in his elbows. He is always such a sweetheart and an idiot at the sane time! Fnally he sleeps. I cannot take him on huge walks due to his joints. All he does is show me unconditional love. THAT makes me smile and love him so much. X
