Shadow and Squidge were playing tug. Squidge was laying down on the floor; no way can Shads move the hippo like this. But she was helping him “win” by scootching herself along towards him with her feet

This makes me smile.
I love how dogs self handicap in play! There's something so pure and innocent about it. When he is playing chase with a little dog, Chewie deliberately does this really goofy slow run to make sure he never catches them, with his long skinny legs flailing...Shadow and Squidge were playing tug. Ella jumped off the couch and headed off to the bedroom. I assumed she had gone into our room but realised that she'd actually gone to Nathan's room and jumped into bed with him. Now I can hear him talking to her. He was just talking about the walk we went on this morning and was saying that he's really pleased she enjoyed it and he knows how much she loves to swim and the he does too, just in the swimming pool and not the lake. Now he's telling her a story that he seems to be making up as he goes along.
It makes me smile that Ella has actually chosen to sleep with Nathan but it also makes me smile to know that Nathan has a friend to talk too

It actually made me think of you when I heard him talking to her

Iver licked my face affectionately he did not bite me. He hasn't bitten my face I'm careful but I picked him up and he was very close to my face and i thought sh*t but he turned and licked my face in a sweet and loving way. I was stunned but feel all smiley now

A bit late @kateincornwall , but don't worry, I heard a talk on the radio that Buzzards haven't got the talons to even pick up a rabbit, they eat worms etc!
Two things made me smile this morning.
Waking up with Chewie curled into the world's smallest ball and snuggled as close to me as he could get. If you have read my posts in Random Dog Thoughts, I just don't understand how anyone could hurt an animal who loves so much and so unconditionally.
Then going to check on the bub, and being greeted by first a look of early morning confusion (just like his daddy) and then a big goofy grin. He is so very smiley and sweet.

After a few days rest, Ariel’s limber tail is finally gone. She got into some massive, extended zoomies after her swim on Monday, which I think is how it happened. So nice to see her magnificent tail wagging this morning.
