Chewie is back home and looking happier after some IV fluids and bowel rest. Still has the squirts but is on antibiotics and probiotics. Hasn't vomited for more than 24hrs. Lucky boy gets chicken and rice for a few more days and hopefully will be fully recovered soon.
Apparently all the vet staff were remarking on what a beautiful, and slim, Labrador he is. Our home feels complete again. Though when the vet brought him out to us he walked straight past us because he saw a Cavalier in the next row... Thanks Chew.

@MrChew, I am pleased Chewie is feeling better, he sounds like Rourke, when I come home he ignores me and rushes to the person I might have come in with, squeaking and wriggling with joy! You will feel reassured now and it sounds as if Chewie coped well overnight at the vet hospital.

Lovely furniture! Yesterday, we impulsively bought a free-standing hammock - which we won't construct until next spring - and a corner log burner for our living room. We want a built-in open fire but with so many other jobs to do, when J saw the corner wood burner in the store, we figured it would save that job for another day ... or year 
We also met another English couple who were buying flues etc for their own wood burner in their new finca. They're just over the border into the Valencia province. We tend to shy away from other Brits here, but these guys were lovely and we stood talking to them for about an hour! Kinda weird, but there you go

I'm happy that a much loved crib that all my babies slept in went to a good home for free rather than go to the tip. Unbelievably the charity shops don't want cribs, moses baskets or pushchairs any more I have those on FreeBay in hope someone will want them as they are perfect condition. xx

Was " told " today , that Reubs was not a Labrador , but a hound of sorts , oh here we go again 
No , said I , he is a full Labrador, just has long legs , all his line have long legs . Comes the reply , Sorry , he is a hound , I smiled and walked on , swearing quietly
