It's becoming more and more common here too. We do have a bit of a tendency to copy America thoughMaybe? This Toronto home's festive display is like something out of a Christmas movie
My guess is it's the same in the States.
The lights are a bit silly here because it's the middle of summer so you only get to see them late at night. But like I said, it's still kinda cheery when you are walking around the neighbourhood. January seems so dark and gloomy once the lights go down. Although around here there are quite a few that celebrate Ukranian Christmas which falls after our Christmas, so some leave their lights up until after that, which is nice!
So different, as it's dark here by around 4:30ishPM (still at work!!) so the lights are so helpful for dog walking! Neighbours have complained that our lights weren't on when they walked past to look and it's because we aren't home from work yet!so you only get to see them late at night.
Sounds like a nice chap!Actually it was yesterday. I met a chap with three dogs, a spaniel, an collie and an 8 YO chocolate Lab. Holly and the lab had a lovely Labby greeting.
All three of the dogs were rescue dogs. He only acquired the Lab in September and it didn't know how to do off-lead walks. For the first few weeks it was reluctant to go into the woods, but the other two dogs gave it a bit of confidence and it's now happy to trot through the trees near its owner.
While we were talking the spaniel introduce it to the joys of rolling in fox poo. The guy just shrugged and said ' well thats another first for him.... '. I like his attitude.

Perhaps it’s fully trained now?! (Unlike the owner...)Princess cocker spaniel didn't turn up for puppy training he he he it's much better without her

. I had to laugh at the inventiveness of that dog
.That is brilliant! We need Ripple and Toffee videosCut the boys walk short today as the weather was horrible (yes, even in Norfolk), so I decided to give them the entire toy box to play with - Ripple picked out a toy he wanted then CLIMBED INTO THE TOY BOX sitting on all the other toys so Toffee couldn’t have anything. I had to laugh at the inventiveness of that dog
.
Actually I don’t know why I didn’t take a photo, although I don’t think any photo could have done justice to the look on poor Toffee's faceWe need Ripple and Toffee videos
