Reuben is off to playgroup shortly and I`m doing something very alien to me , spending the morning at the hairdressers . Have decided to have some grey highlights , to match the the grey already there, this is in exchange for the hideous jumper that Paul bought me for Christmas which has gone back to the store x

My smile is looking forward lunch with good friends - the ones I go on holiday with every year. This year we are going to Ibiza. So there will be lots of holiday chat - just the ticket on a cold and rainy January day.

I just enjoyed two cups of Breakfast Blend tea that my lovely son brought back from York for me after he and is girlfriend went there for New Year. I do it all "properly", making it in a warmed pot and sitting down to a laid breakfast table and using a cup and saucer . I feel very grown up .

Such a nice gift, so much better for me than chocolates or alcohol

I read this yesterday (because I still tend to look at the Scottish news) but forgot about it with all the 'secret' news -

'Pigeon infestation at Walverley Mall shopping centre' with a picture of 4 pigeons and a story detailing how AS MANY AS 8 pigeons have been seen - since when has 8 been an infestation . I avidly read the story expecting there to be hundreds of pigeons in the mall, but no just the 8 .

Oh, that's funny. If eight pigeons is an infestation, the number of seagulls down here would probably be seen as the Bird Apocalypse . And at least pigeons don't steal your Cornish ice cream, right @Selina27 ?
