What made you smile today?

Jen... I'm not a baby person. You know this. I very rarely do anything more than "like" the occasional baby post because, well, I just don't get the feels. But, right now, in this world, in this time, anything that makes another person laugh, smile, have a reason for getting up in the morning... these are all beautiful things. Your smile is beautiful. Your obvious love for your boy is beautiful. This has brought a smile to my face because, even though I don't "do" babies, I certainly DO do what you have in this little video. :inlove:

I usually walk the dogs twice a day but now we are down to one .I expected Reuben to start pacing up and down this morning at the appointed hour but he didnt ,he just accepted it . The weather has been glorious so I was in the garden weeding , both dogs out with me , pottering around , then I came in for coffee, leaving them out there with the back door open . Nelly came in, Reuben stayed out and I thought how good he was being playing with his toys , what a good boy , thought I . Good boy ?? Oh how proud he was of the hole he had dug , he thought it was ace ! One look at his silly goofy face and all I could do was laugh , then fill it in x

What a lovely sunny day today was. I popped the dogs beds outside so they could enjoy the sun. Later I brought the dogs back in BUT FORGOT OTTER! An hour later I realised she was missing! Looked everywhere in a panic, eventually found her on her bed outside, perfectly happy, but she had built up quite a collection. A chicken feather, a few stones, bit of wood, and some cardboard she had found all brought back carefully to her bed! She gave me a happy full body wriggle and delightedly showed me her hoard....:inlove:

Now I am down to once a day walk, I took some of Red’s things outside early evening. We played several games. She was brill - remembered so much from last year. We had fun and I came in smiling 😊

My only slight concern was the fact she wouldn’t go to the toilet like she does on the walk. I gave her the chance before we went to bed but no. No doubt we’ll quickly get into this new routine

If you haven’t had a chance, check out Pluto Living on Facebook! It’s daily videos that a comic in Montreal has put together to make people around the word feel a little better about our current crisis. She uses a squeaky voice in lieu of her dog speaking (the dog is Pluto), and I, and millions of others, have found them hilarious and uplifting. Even Jennifer Anniston is following her, and there’s talk of her possibly being on an upcoming Ellen show.

Joy has quite quickly got into the new routine of doing the necessary in the garden rather than on an afternoon walk. She usually does this at about 9pm though, rather than her normal 4pm ish. I have also increased our morning walks from about 2 hours to close to 3 (easy in this lovely weather). She seems to be quite happy with this new arrangement, so I am too.

Day 2 of new routine. Still not ’doing the necessary’ early evening. She was ok last night but long hours of not going. Will give her another chance shortly before I go to bed. We are up so early these days that we need to go to bed early. I walked her a bit further at lunchtime today - beautiful day
