It was 20C today and I took Simba out for a walk this afternoon WITHOUT a jacket on! First time in probably 6 months....

I've just tried it out with her. Oh dear! She's a bit scared of it! I don't know if it's because it makes a (not even very loud) whirring noise or because it's very windy so the bubbles are whooshing all over the place or if it's just the natural caution that comes with being Joy but it frightens her. She's tucking her tail under and running away. She's also licking her lips and I don't know if this is because she's anxious or because the bubbles ( peanut butter flavour) smell nice to her. I've put it away for now and will try again when it's not so windy, maybe also let her lick some of the bubble mixture off my fingers first. My funny little girl!

Awww! Pothead goes crazy for bubbles! She dances and prances, whirls and twirls in excitement! The rest of the gang aren't too bothered. Casper likes them, he is a bit slow though, and they have land on his nose first!

After all Hollys recent mud baths she was beginning to smell a bit. Today I gave her a shower. We got into the shower together and I gave her a good shampoo and rinse. She now smells lovely and her coat is very soft. It won’t last, but it had to be done.

Not long after Joy's bubble gun arrived there was another delivery! I knew I would need a project of some sort to ride me through social distancing and lockdown and thought that given the time of year the garden would make most sense. I decided amongst other things to grow vegetables, so ordered two vegetable beds,sixteen bags of veggie soil and a self assembly composter. I ordered it all on Thursday and was told to expect it to arrive in 7-10 days so I was pleased and surprised when it all arrived today. I managed to put the composter together with no problem, which I was happy about having had some misgivings and I enjoyed sorting the rest out, ready to start planting tomorrow. Home grown vegetables here we come!
