Glancing out of the bedroom window today I saw two Goldfinches on the bird feeder, a lovely sight. Out loud I said to them, 'Hello little pretties, aren't you gorgeous?' Joy was there by my side in an instant. I obviously couldn't possibly be saying that to anyone but her!
Every morning now Chewie goes into Rowan's room when he is awake for the day and lies on the armchair. This is good because it means Rowan is happy when he wakes up and it buys me time to wash my face and put a jumper on before attending to him. Good babysitting Chewie.
Although this morning Rowan got too excited while bouncing in the cot and yelling "do! Do" and whacked his chin on the side...

I’m in awe that your child stays in his bed until it’s time to get up.
We’re basically cosleepers now. As soon as Rory wakes up I go through pick him up and put him in our bed. I’ve given up trying to resettle
We are usually up for 1-2 hours between 2 and 4... He then goes back to sleep. We have tried to cosleep but he just gets too excited about being in our bed and wants to play! I have a theory that it might be a smidge too cold in his room. OH doesn't believe that it is possible because he likes to be an ice block at night otherwise he has weird nightmares that he acts out. I’m very, very happy to report that Mike is better and the doctor says he can go back to work next week!
It really was ‘just a virus’ as we all used to get now and again - before all this. Most of us are not susceptible to them just now, as we are shielded from all viruses due to the lockdown. But as a nurse he still can.
