They're here! Little Brother and Jenny are here! I have hugged them! I have eaten a meal in company! We have drunk too much together! We have talked and talked and talked and teased each other and been totally disrespectful of each other and bantered till we dropped and laughed and laughed and laughed! Now they're just showering and going to bed and I'm just sitting here feeling very happy and finishing the last of the currently open bottle of wine. Joy at my feet. Big smile on my face!

Yesterday I saw my little grandson properly since the middle of March. I had seen him briefly in our garden a few weeks back but this was a proper new normal visit. We have quite a spacious conservatory and I have altered everything so we can be distanced. It is easily ventilated and can be shut off from the rest of the house so I reckon this is where we will do our ‘entertaining‘ for the foreseeable future.

it was really lovely spending time with him. I was desperate to cuddle him but know I can’t. I was content to watch him play - out came the Duplo that has been played with by all the grandchildren over the years. He just played contentedly whilst we chatted with my son and DIL. A blissful afternoon
