What made you smile today?

I had three pages of this thread to catch up on, that definitely made me smile! That guy with the groundhog is great - love that he's giving the animals their own garden next year.

It's turned gloomy today in Brittany, so I decided it was hair cut day. I've been cutting my own hair since I got the bob from hell at the beginning of August. So far I've done two big chops and a few little trims. Today was the second big chop. I think I've almost undone the bob with another couple inches cut off the side. It's pretty fun to do: I pull it out, examine the ends, think "Oh my, I should probably look up a tutorial on YouTube" and then just end up cutting whatever sticks out.

I think I'm getting better. But I could just be emboldened by the fact that hat season will last at least another three months. :wasntme:

You are so beautiful @Emily_Babbelhund and you hair cut looks perfect. How do you manage the back?
I don't cut the back at all as I'm letting it grow out. The salon in August cut the back a good six inches shorter than the front, and I hated it. I'm not the right age or body shape for that type of extreme bob, and didn't ask for that cut. It was quite a shock. Plus I couldn't do my dog-walking ponytail which drove me nuts.

So back in August I cut layers into the front and today I chopped more off the sides to even the front with the back, then gave the front ends a little trim. Now it's pretty much all one length and I like it a lot better. It may not be stylish, but it's me. 😊

I saw this Cormorant today 20201107_100004.jpgand was reminded of my Dad, who used to say this poem every time he saw one
The Common Cormorant or Shag
Lays eggs inside a paper bag
The reason you will see no doubt
It is to keep the lightening out
But what these unobservant birds
Have never noticed is that herds
Of wandering bears may come with buns
And steal the bags to hold the crumbs.
