What made you smile today?

We were on our way out this afternoon to take the dogs on a walk in the woods. I was a bit slow in the hallway, struggling to get my boots on, gingerly pulling them over my bad foot. The next minute, my neighbour's dogs - both lovely labradoodles - were both in our house, sniffing around, one went straight upstairs and the other made a beeline for the kitchen. Turns out they had escaped while she was sweeping the driveway.

This turned Bear and Monty into a raving mess, while OH was trying to strap them into the car. We made some sort of joke about swapping dogs... and she very tellingly said 'I'll have Monty - Bear wears me out! ' - she's been extremely kind, looking after Bear when we have been sorting out things over at my Mom's house (we take Monty with us, he's perfectly trust worthy) but feel I may have reached my limit of doggy day care at her house after that comment  . Although as OH and I chatted later, her dogs are no angels, either, after that house invasion!

Thanks but mainly the result of low resolution in my camera. The benefits of keeping around older technology. :giggl:

I am quite chuffed with my new hair cut though!
My mum cut my hair about three weeks ago. I was slightly worried as 'about an inch' turned into nearly three, and OH said her hands were a little shaky, but it turned out pretty well and I do like the shorter style as it's easier to dry, straighten and curl. And it really needed it. She cut my hair until I was 18, and generally did a pretty good job, though she always loved a strong layer! My limit on layers now are a few wispy bits around my face. All the rest has to be the same length.

I can't use a hair dyer and brush as my hair blows everywhere, it is so fine, any ideas ?
Can you just put a leave in conditioner and let it air dry? You could then style it later if you think it still needs it. Or a friend of mine with fine, shorter hair likes to use a drying brush (not sure if that's the right term, but you get the idea): you style and dry at the same time.

I have the opposite problem: it takes 20 minutes with a high power dryer and then another 10 to straighten. I do it with my headphones in while I watch YouTube, otherwise I wouldn't have the patience. Thank goodness it only needs doing twice a week!

This is quite daft but I have to look nice to feel productive.

Even though I’m working from home I still put makeup on every day and do my hair properly. I think it’s just more professional, especially in Skype meetings. The better I look the more I feel as though I can deal with life.
