What made you smile today?

I'm in this Facebook group that's for mums with similar aged babies. Honestly, I mostly joined for all of the shopping discount codes but I do enjoy watching some of the drama :giggl:

Anyway, a new mum posted about having issues with her dog and her baby as her dog kept growling. She was asking if anyone could help. The first couple of comments mentioned CM and making sure the dog wasn't allowed to get away with growling. But then, immediately afterwards there were about 50 comments from all different people, recommending a behaviourist and all stressing how important it was to find a +R one. People were even saying how it was good that the dog was communicating through growling and that she should make a safe place for him etc. etc.

The OP wrote back the next day, saying she'd contacted multiple behaviourist and booked in with a +R one. She'd also started getting her OH to have baby for a while so that she could walk/play with the dog on its own.

It was so good to read that the +R message now getting out there!! Especially as this wasn't even a doggy group.

which she wouldn't take from him (GoodGirl, never take sweets from strangers!)
I'm trying to imagine this amazing phenomenon - Maxx refusing a treat from anyone. The opposite in fact; he would take the treat AND most of the postie's hand if he wasn't careful

We don't actually like or encourage other people from giving him treats but this very nice lady really wanted to the other day. We both said 'feed him like a horse' and help our hands out flat - palm up. He knows then to gently snaffle the treat off the open hand. Nope, she put it between her thumb and second finger and held it to his nose then got a surprise when he nipped it from her. Sigh

I used to belong to a Horticultural Society and one day I visited a member taking Sky with me. Now Sky was the most placid/gentle/loving Labrador you could ever wish to meet. She never hurt a fly. This person disappeared into the kitchen and came back with a biscuit (not a dog one). Before I could say a thing, she held the biscuit out to Sky, then as Sky went to her, she raised her arm in a taunting way. Sky jumped up and snaffled it from her hand. This person wasn’t hurt but alarmed at what happened. She had the gaul to called Sky ‘a naughty girl’ - I never forgave her and I never took Sky with me again

Idiot. She deserved to lose a finger (or worse!)

Oh, how irritating, I have exactly the same thing happen with Cassie.

Like Rene Artois would say

Favourite show....ever!

Maxx is funny when Steve and I have a hug, especially when we make 'allo 'allo noises (on purpose for Maxx) like Rene hugging Michelle or one of his other women. Maxx immediately jumps up and tries to join the hug then pushes in between us as if to say "I'm part of this too!'

Too cute

Red does this. She always makes us laugh as what was a cuddle becomes a group hug 🤗. Sky used to do it too and so when we got Red, she learnt to join in too ❤.

Our local newspaper, the Halifax Courier is well known for spelling mistakes and missing words. Today's online headline has topped them all though,
'Man stopped by police in Halifax suspected of being in possession of a large kitchen '
I'm guessing that the missing word is 'knife'!:cwl:
Don't EVER trust a man with a large kitchen! :donttalk:

So annoying! I would have been seething too. My brother in law doesn't like dogs, and the first time he met Jess he started pretending to play with a ball with her. She loves people and loves to play so she was jumping to pounce on the ball. He immediately pulled it away with his foot and did a really annoying finger waggy "ah-ah", like "you can't have it after all". Jess just looked at him and walked away and left him standing there with his foot on the ball looking stupid. I was very proud :ROFLMAO:

Oh, and another thing that has made me smile today - our neighbours with the nasty dog have moved! This is huge news. Their garden backed onto ours and they had an aggressive and very barky spaniel that twice tried to attack Jess and really caused a lot of reactivity in her. Every time he barked she would start up (she never reacts to any of the other local dogs, only this one), and she would get hugely worked up in the garden as he was often at our fence, snuffling and heavy breathing and frightening her. It more or less stopped us being able to let her out in the garden. The house was sold a month or two ago but today I walked past and it is completely empty so they have definitely left for good. Hurrah!!!! :celebrate::sun::penguinkiss:
