I got my computer back! Just when I was having fantasies about the shop in Newquay being a front for a Mac-theft ring...

They have no idea what caused the problem. They plugged it in to their master system (or something like that - I'm sure @snowbunny would know what they were talking about) and it turned on just fine. One could say it was an easy GBP 69 for them, but as I was expecting a much longer and more costly repair, I was happy to pay it.

not a mean bone in her little body and not a scrap of bother .
But not a pushover, either! I still remember her valiantly protecting baby Reuben from Señor Carbon, who was SO NASTY. She gave him a good telling off, and well-deserved too!

pee ess: I'm convinced that Carbon thinks that Reuben did him a favour by getting rid of that irritating little puppy. Who was also Reuben, but Carbon doesn't have a clue.

Here I sit in my favourite comfy chair, glass of wine to hand, television off now and not a sound apart from the wuthering wind, the crackling stove and a Labrador snoring softly at either side of me. Two beautiful girls who I know have been well walked, well fed and have enjoyed a lot of playing today. Covid? Irrelevant just now. Lockdown? Doesn't matter just now. This is lovely exactly as it is at this moment and I can't help but smile. Oh! a little happy dog grunty noise now from Tess! Bliss all round!
Pee Ess, perhaps I really should have two dogs?.......

I would have Tess without another thought should she need rehoming. The thought of managing another puppy on my own though is not a happy though !with no-one else to, for example, just look after her while I have a shower!
I agree @Candy, no more puppies for us either - not for a long time anyway. We ran into Nero, a 2 1/2 year old giant black labrador (very overweight, 'too many kibbles' said Maxx) and his mum was looking a bit worse for wear. Then she told us why; they have a 12 week old labrador puppy (Nero's half sister) and she is being 'challenging'. Oh dear!

I love puppies! Have loved all mine to bits, just can't see how l could do it on my own. I remember Trevor and I taking it in turns to shower and to have time out when Solstice was tiny, and the same with Joy. Definitely not a job for a person on her own!

Toffee made me laugh today, I was on a Skype call to my daughter in Scotland and he was trying to work out where the voice was coming from. For some reason, despite my daughter waving to him, he decided that it was the cat, sitting behind the laptop, that was talking  . Every time Zoe spoke Toffee stared intently at the cat and wagged his tail.
Goodness knows what was going through his mind.
And even though that was hours ago and we’ve been out for a long walk, he’s now positioned himself in his bed and is laying with one eye open looking at the cat, presumably waiting for the conversation to resume :cwl: .
