What made you smile today?

Cassie's just asked to go outside into the garden. On her own. This is a rare occurrence. A few minutes later I looked through the window expecting her to be on the doorstep waiting to come back in.

But no -- she's wedged herself between my mini greenhouse and our shed, in the part sheltered from the cold wind but in the sunshine and is blissfully basking :sleepy::sun:

I've just lit the woodburner because it's cold today, so she'll be alright!

Two other smiles today. Rowan and I were having a cuddle/tickle when he stopped and looked at me and said "happy." :inlove:

I also gave him a haircut today! Based on some of the awful toddler cuts I've seen I think we did okay. It helps that he has the most gorgeous brown curls that hide all sorts of mess. (The top is the straightest bit as it is his newborn hair that never fell out. All the hair that has come in since has been curly)PXL_20210405_030205826~2.jpg

Rorys paediatrician gave me a link to some development questionnaires to do at different stages to see how he was getting on with his communication etc.

When we did our last visit he was in the black for communication which meant he was delayed.

I’ve just done the one for 23 months - 26 months and Rory is 23 months and 3 weeks and he’s in the white for all areas, he’s all caught up.

I’m so proud of him 🥰
