I've been AWOL lately- life got busy and a bit hard, but Rowan said something that I just *had* to share here.

OH says "now bear in mind..." a lot.

And R had obviously been thinking about that a bit because over lunch (prawn dumplings, edamame and fruit fyi) he looked at me very seriously 'Now mum, bear in mind. Actually... I don't want a bear in my mind. Too scary. DOG in mind..."

Now I think we all have to say 'Dog in mind!'

I had a phone call from the garage workshop yesterday , our car is ready for collection on Friday morning They have had the car in for a new boot lid and rear bumper since March , unbelievably they stripped the car down before ordering the parts and we have been stuck with a very small courtesy car . We were told that we must not allow food or drink in it, or carry pets I ordered a hammock type cover for the back seats , what a blessing it has been , no way could we not put the dogs in the blasted thing . This morning I have hoovered it within an inch of its life and tomorrow it is going for a hand wash , we have a hose pipe ban so cant wash it at home . Oh it will be so good to have our own wheels back again after three months xx

My brother arrived about an hour ago and presented Neo with a Bonio. After throwing it around the room for a while he’s decided it’s too much effort to actually eat it, but he’s keeping it very close, just in case!

There was a knock on the door thisevening and there was our kind neighbour with a cooling treat for Joy. I smiled and she wagged.....a lot!
