We've been taking R to Kung Fu classes for a while and he always does better if I leave the room, which hurts a little (I feel like I'm getting in the way and he is always more relaxed for OH) but today I saw the payoff. I came back in at the end of class and he had his eyes closed, meditating with the coach, then he stood up and bowed so beautifully and gave her a high five.

Cassie - yesterday, waiting in the busy car park of a garden centre for my daughter to arrive, I could tell by her demeanour that she knew instantly when L's car drove by. In fact I was looking the other way but I could feel the change in her come up the lead (if that makes sense!)

Joy's dog sitter has said that when I've been away and am on my way home Joy always becomes excited and restless about five minutes before I arrive to collect her. 
Mind you, she does admit that she keeps telling Joy that I'm coming home that day, which could also play a part. Their noses are amazing though.

Sky used to go and sit on the bottom of the stairs (where we have a little window looking out onto part of the drive) ten minutes before F used to get home, even though his arrival home times were varied. I could never work out how she knew as 10 minutes meant he was still on the main roads and not even in the village. She was always right

It poured with rain on our walk thismorning, really poured, proper 'stair rodding' as we say Up North.
What made me smile though was how Veryvery happy this made GGJ. She was absolutely delighted, zoomies took place, followed by some swimming in the rain!

Nelly is a funny sausage , she will refuse to come in from the garden if she sees frogs , even in pouring rain , she eventually gets brought in like a drowned rat, but she hates walking in the rain and will head back to the car
Just moved all my photos onto a storage drive from my phone and laptops. Saw so really old photos of my dogs and cats. Bittersweet. Smiled to see them but miss them still.
Chewie has the right kind of fur (he has a thick 'raincoat' on his back) and still hates it. Will turn around and head home.I think Nelly has the wrong sort of fur for rain.

We are on holiday in Corfu and my favourite dog sitters (Canadian and German couple) have moved back to the Hague and are taking care of my chocco idiot. Lots of updates from them so I can relax and know he is being well looked after.
