Red’s annual health check and vaccinations this morning. She ran into the vets, stood on her hind legs to say hi to the receptionist, then ran into the consulting room and promptly sat on the scales 😂. She allowed herself to be felt all over, giving Jessica the vet lots of friendly licks, stood still whilst she was given her injections and then we left. All done in fifteen minutes - she really likes going there!! Love this girl so much ❤

Lovely that that many dogs are happy to see a vet these days, I think food is involved :giggle: Rourke drags me in to the vet!

Joy basking in the beautiful winter sun shining through the back door made me smile today.
Is it wrong that the nose marks on the door, shown up by the sun made me chuckle too?:giggl:View attachment 39960
Such a lovely photo! Doggy nose art 😍
I still have a few doggy nose art marks in my car on my drivers side windshield from Axel, I haven’t had the heart to clean them off yet, they make me smile when I see them :inlove:

I know, the timing really hasn’t gone in our favour with the weather, it’s been 8 looooong days. Sadly the relief has come at the expense of a new boiler but I’m choosing to gloss over that fact and focus on the warm feelings instead 🔥
It’s going to get cold again at the end of the month though, then you’ll be laughing as you crank up the thermostat!

Our new boiler made a HUGE difference to our comfort.
I do believe that if you can afford it, money spent on keeping warm in winter is money well spent, particularly as we get older. My central heating goes off at 6pm, because after that the only room I spend any length of time in (apart from the bedroom, which has to be cold or I can't sleep) is the room with the solid fuel burning stove in it. This chucks out the heat like nobody's business once it's going properly, and I go to bed very warm, snoozy and happy.

Yes, same here. I had a new ne put in and it does seem to be more efficient.

Yes, I agree. I'm very frugal with the ch when the weather is mild, extra jumpers to the fore, but I had no qualms last week about keeping it on all day in those minus temperatures.
