What made you smile today?

Yesterday evening on BBC 2 there was a great run of programmes featuring Carole King and James Taylor, which I recorded and am so much enjoying thisevening. Their music, along with a few others was the background to my mid to late teenage years and early adulthood. They're still going strong, it seems and sounding as good as ever and I can't help but smile. There's life in the old dogs yet!

Carbón has been reunited with his beloved stuffies after a three month absence and, boy howdy, was he happy! We’ve had Monkey with us (carried around in my backpack on all our adventures) but the rest of his stuffie amigos have been safely tucked away until this morning. Now he’s having an exhausted snooze with them by his side or nearby in their shiny new special amigo box.

It’s really lovely to be able to unpack for the first time since everything went into storage the first week of October.

Oh dear I must be very, very old as I have never heard of them 😊

My first dog, a Lurcher, was very skilled with blankets. He used to grab one end in his mouth, fling the whole thing in the air, then dash underneath it before it landed, carrying out a clever little turn as he did so. This meant it wrapped itself around him and he'd then snuggle down happily for a snooze.
Perhaps Cassie was attempting a similar manoeuvre?
