Today I took Ella for her Cytopoint injection. We've been to our new vet a number of times now and we've seen three different vets in the practice. Each one has been absolutely fantastic with Ella.
Ella is so strange at the vet as she's terribly nervous (shaking, whimpering etc.) but also loves the people. Whe we walked in today, Ella heard the vet nurse rattle something behind the desk and immediately popped her head round, remembering that treats appeared last time.
Then the vet met her, sat on the floor with her and (after checking with me) streamed treats through her muzzle while giving her a gentle once over. While still on edge, Ella happily took treats and enjoyed fuss from the vet. She then looked to me for guidance on the best way to inject Ella and it was done quickly and with the least fuss.
An added bonus is that the whole process is $80 less than at out old vet! Considering we do this every 8-12 weeks (depending on the season) it's a huge difference.
