What made you smile today?

Today our human child turned 6. We had a great party- a science and My Neighbour Totoro party. Cake made by me. ☺

And our lovely personal trainer can take care of Chewie while we are skiing in August. He and his girlfriend are dog sitting as an official side hustle now.

I'm smiling because I'm back! My mobile went strange on Friday, I couldn't get it to behave at all as it should. Took it to a local shop where they can help and it was eventually found to have a virus that was activated every time I used Google. This meant my emails, coming here, every time I wanted information about something, just about everything really! Anyway it has now finally been sorted out and this only cost £30, despite having taken a couple of days. Also I wasn't once made to feel old or silly or completely incompetent with technology, so I really can't sing the praises of the young men in this shop highly enough. I know quite a few people locally who speak very well of them and I can see why. So hello everyone, I've missed you and it's good to be back!😀

Jazz went to the groomer yesterday for a trim. As always, she looks a little stunner when she's been trimmed, and we get lots of compliments about her appearance.
Today we went into town for a walk around the park and a coffee and I decided to keep count of the compliments. All seven of the dog owners we met said she was beautiful. Four people stopped us to say what an attractive dog she was. Two people wanted to take her home with them. Two of the staff at Coffi Lab came to our table to ask if they could stroke her. The young lady in the pet shop gave her a fuss and a biscuit.
I guess I'm not the only one who's smitten!

Yesterday we had a friend here for afternoon tea. He recently lost his wife - they had been married many years and were devoted to each other. Red immediately went and sat on the floor right next to him and rested one of her paws on his foot. I’m sure she recognised his pain and was offering him support. When we moved outside to sit at the table there, she did exactly the same, staying by him the whole time ❤
