He wouldn't mind.I have just seen a beautiful Flat coat retriever while I was out in my garden. She is called Bea and is 18 mths old.
She is so friendly, what a lovely dog. A lovely girlfriend for Duncan![]()

Awww, thank you! That is exactly what I thought! And cuter than cute can be![]()
That’s interesting. Three friends have come round separately this week and each one has said how good Red looks. Her coat is glorious at the moment - never known it as good. She shed her fur for several months which was hard work keeping on top of but I reckon she was preparing for her new Spring coat. Has Carbón shed more recently?but his fur is extra velvety lately and I keep getting lovely comments about how well he looks
Oh yes, definitely! I figured it was our travel schedule this fall which had us going from cold (5C) Germany to warm (20C) Croatia, then progressively colder Venice, to snowy Germany, to warm (20C again) California, to cold (0C) Nevada, back to California, back to snowy Germany, and finally to (relatively) balmy Cornwall. He must have had six fall sheds in the space of 3 months! I was a little afraid he’d go bald, but I guess in the long run it gave him a better coat.Has Carbón shed more recently?
Yes interesting. Red has not had those variations in temperature but all through the darker months we had the log fire going so she’d be very toasty inside, then out in the cold and plenty of rain. I think that caused a more severe and long shed……but her coat now is beautifulI guess in the long run it gave him a better coat.
