My two also appear like magic when I’m preparing vegetables. Tuppence seems to like everything, but then she just gulps it down without chewing/tasting; Wispa is more discerning and spits out parsnip!

My lot get really excited when I get the eggs out for cooking. It always makes me feel really mean! :D
They LOVE squirty cream! When we walk them when it's cold, we often come back and have a hot chocolate with squirty cream on it. They know when it's a cold day to hang around the kitchen after a walk because the cream will be coming out! Except Ginny, of course, who knows very well that the cream will come to HER in her bed, so what's the point in standing around waiting for it, when you can be relaxing on memory foam - or on the sofa.

Today we met a young beagle on our walk. It was on a lead and clearly a bit agitated by Holly. Chatting to the owner it was a rescue dog which, for some reason, was nervous of bigger dogs.

Holly lay down with her head low and the beagle approached her and almost went nose-to-nose. The owner was surprised as it had never approached a big dog before, but Holly lying down seemed to give it confidence. I wonder if Holly knew to do this or whether it was just fortuitous that she lowered her head.

I took Reuben and Nelly to Golitha Falls this afternoon , thankfully less busy now . We had a wonderful walk , a thinking walk , do all my best thinking with the dogs . I watched young Reuben , running around over the ancient rocks , nose to the ground , having the best time and suddenly Sam came to the fore , I could see him in my minds eye , doing just the same as Reuben was doing . This was Sams favourite place and his final resting place so its special , I realised how much I missed him , how I longed to see him one more time which of course I cant, but I have the next best thing , another young Labrador to watch over and take pleasure in and it made me smile xx
