A classic Holly moment today. She was playing zoomies through the puddles in the Forest when the ground disappeared beneath her. She went completely underwater, then bobbed back to the surface with a slightly worried look on her face, which changed into a big doggy-grin. After a quick shake she carried on zoomying in more puddles.

A Vicar of Dibley moment

I took Reuben to Golitha Falls this afternoon , a place I love but have avoided as it is so very busy with the cafe having such a good reputation , mornings are alright but ............ Anyway , I decided to risk it as it was raining heavily and there is some shelter under the trees . I`ve been working hard on getting Reubens attention , using his beloved ball as he now loves retrieving . Wow , a result ! There were quite a lot of people , dogs and young children, but he never bothered with any of them , just his ball which I threw constantly , and he brought back constantly ! We went high up onto the top ridge where the bluebells had been , we meandered for almost an hour, then back to the cafe where Paul was waiting with Nelly ( she hates rain ! ) . This may not last , but I`m taking it today because its today that matters and it brought a big smile xx

I have just driven home with the biggest smile on my face. My eldest grandson who is 12 has been having a difficult time recently - his health and his transition from primary to secondary school (he has found some pupils disruptive and noisy and it has caused him a lot of anxiety). He is also growing like a weed - become very tall recently. Anyway, to encourage him generally I have offered a treat at the end of each school week. We were away last week so today was the first. He wanted to go for coffee and cake so we did just that. A fab coffee shop near to his home. He was excellent company and very chatty. I really enjoyed it too. He gave me a big hug when we got back to their house (he’s never been demonstrative so I guess he enjoyed it too which makes me happy). We are now planning his next treat πŸ˜€

My daughter is training to be a secondary school teacher, she is a TA for another year and will eventually go back to Uni to do her PGCE. Today she got a mute student to read out loud in a small group of 5 students with learning difficulties. Nobody else has managed to get her to do anything. I am so proud of my lovely girl, she is going to make a wonderful teacher. I have the biggest smile on my face xxx
