Thank you all so much… it’s so hard. My little grandson Rory came with my DiL to say goodbye on his way to school and my son stayed here working all day next to Wispa when he wasn’t in meetings. Their younger son had just learned to say ‘Wispa‘ as he always dashes in saying ‘dogs’ when he arrives. He’s only 18 months so he doesn’t understand yet, but Rory was upset late in the day. My Scottish grandson was home in time from work, so she had three of her family with her. My eldest son had hoped to come over from Oxfordshire, but couldn’t manage it until Saturday.
On Saturday morning when I took Tuppy into the garden after her breakfast she refused to go to the spending area, but waited by the gate to go further down the garden. She dashed straight down to the pergola where my son and I had sat with Wispa while the vet gave the final injection, during a sudden hailstorm. We had let Tuppy down the garden to see Wispa afterwards… Later, while I was having my breakfast, Tuppy sat on the armchair nearby, where Wispa had been while the vet put in the canula. Tuppy never sits there at that time and didn’t yesterday. I hope she’s going to adjust.
