Could you just not ship it all to umm...a new house in Cornwall?
That would be lovely!

On a serious note.. take care! That's a lot baggage to get through!:hug:
Yeah, it really is 'baggage'. There are little bombs everywhere: things that remind me of loved ones (people and dogs) who are passed. Even just a piece of clothing can have me sitting there crying. But it must be done and I will feel so much lighter when I am done. Need to make room for some new adventures and beginnings!

Hola todos,

I have some sad news today: my Cookie Man, ML's father, is in the hospital. This means that ML drove very fast to return to California from Nevada and I worked very hard today cheering up all the muy simpatico, very nice nurses and medical professionals, plus cheering up Cookie Man himself by laying my soft black head on his bed and letting him pet me. The very best thing was that Cookie Man shared his hospital dinner: hospital carrots are muy rico, very delicious!

At the end of the day I got very tired and climbed into ML's lap. I do not like hard hospital floors.

We left Cookie Man in a very special place with many nice nurses to look after the special patients like Cookie Man. Tomorrow he will have an operation to put in a pace maker - that makes your corazon beat at the right salsa rhythm. The medical people say that as soon as Cookie Man has his new salsa-rhythm heart, he will feel SO much better and will be able to go home on the weekend.

So it all will have a happy ending, I promise. Well...except that ML says that after we get Cookie Man healthy again, she is going to KILL him because he was in the hospital almost TWO DAYS before he called her to tell her. Aye aye aye amigos: I think Cookie Man is in the dog house!

Cookie Man's nurse called us this morning at 5am and his surgery will be at 1pm. So we get another hour of siesta time and then my hard work as hospital therapy dog begins again. It is a good thing that ML does not mind when I crawl into her lap because I may need a second siesta sometime around noon!

ML says dogs are not allowed in hospitals in Germany but they are so very nice to me here in the US and I am allowed everywhere. I am glad about this because even though I work hard for everyone including Cookie Man, my main job is to take good care of ML, who gets quite worried in hospitals. When I am with her, I do my job so well that I KNOW she will be just fine. Que bueno soy, what a good boy I am!

Oh mi hermoso amigo, my beautiful friend, Signor Carbón - firstly you must give your ML very many gentle nose dabs and all the lap time that she needs. She is as strong as the Rio Grande but also needs her Carbóncito. You really are the best boy.
And secondly you must keep up the hard work in caring for Cookie Man and all the doctors and nurses and people who will care for him in the hospital. I know you will do a fine job with this, as you are a cuidador muy experto, a very expert carer.
Do tell ML al mal tiempo, buena cara (to bad weather, a good face) - we are holding you both xxx
