After a long wait where ML stomped around and pulled out a good deal of her hair, I am muy feliz, very happy, to say that I am now registered on the airplane to fly to see Cookie Man! We even have my very special seat with no one in front of us so that I can have a peaceful snooze and it's on the aisle so that I can give the food trolley a VERY close inspection.

ML is still pulling and stomping because she does not yet have her special German travel papers, but as I am Spanish, this does not effect me at all. If ML cannot go, I can simply go to visit Cookie Man by myself. That is how we very intelligent Spanish gentleman dogs roll, sabes?

Diooosssss miiiiioooooo! Monkey has been injured! Monkey está muy malo! I innocently came home from my Bavarian dinner with Señorita Fina and greeted my best amigo Monkey by throwing him up in the air as normal....


AND HIS LEG FELL OFF!!!!!!!!!!! Oh!!!!!!! Noooooooo!


I am very upset. So upset that I had to take Monkey to bed and give him cuddles under the duvet.

ML says not to worry, that Monkey can have life-changing surgery tomorrow morning and all will be well.

Easy for her to say! How will I sleep tonight worrying about my best amigo?

Carbon, mate, do not worry. I think you might remember that Mister Beezley also lost some limbs when you first met him. But mum did surgery to him and he is back as good as....well, no, to be honest not quite as new but still back with two legs. They are not quite the same length anymore but he doesn't mind.

Thank you everyone! Yes, we're off tomorrow morning. Almost everything I own except what I'm taking with me on the plane and a little "Escape Hatch" bag is in my brilliant new locker. No packing up the car! It's really nice knowing that everything is safe and sound and not sitting in my car unattended for three months or at Helga's where I wouldn't have access to it until likely next summer.

The "Escape Hatch" bag is my winter exploring gear if I call time early on my 3 month stay in California and come back for a sneaky week in Italy. 😉

It's usually 2-3 weeks. I stayed 4-6 weeks at a time after my dad's partner Donna got ill, but this its the first time since I left 11 years ago that I've been in California so long. I'm really starting to question my sanity!

On the other hand, my dad keeps forgetting that I'm staying that long, so if I leave a couple weeks early, he'll never know the difference. 😉

I'd love to sort out someone else's stuff - would be a nice change of pace from playing Jenga with my car. 😂
