What made you smile today?

Shopping for presents in Hebden Bridge, found a beautiful hand painted mug with two black Labrador faces gazing at each other and the words 'Best Friends' on it. This will be filled with dog treats as a present for Joy's friend Tess and her Dad. Then in the same shop a pretty silver chain with a heart attached, with the word 'Joy' on it. Didn't buy it, but have now decided to go back and buy it as a present to myself! Both things made me smile today.

Oh yes! The banner made me smile too! Just about to brave the rain and wind to go to the pub with Joy for an hour, our usual Friday night catch up with friends. The thought of that is also making me smile.......AND the news that the calendars have been posted out. What a lot of things to smile about today!:dug::clap:

We must meet at Hebden Bridge for a free run in the park and lunch at the dog friendly pub - after Christmas!

I'm with the others that the new banner making me smile. Thanks to @snowbunny , @Beanwood and any other of the hard-working (and creative) mods who made that bit of cheer happen!

Also very grateful for the rant/chat 1x1 with the @Beanwood queen (sorry, Bramble, I mean the human one). You always made me smile even when I'm being a grump. :giggle:

Finally, seeing my immigration lawyer enthusiastically feed part of the ham sandwich - that he bought for his colleague's dog no less - to a very hippety hoppety Carbon made me shake my head...but smile. I don't know which one had more fun with the consumption of that sandwich, Carbon or my lawyer!

@snowbunny Kebab, is that one of those things that goes round on a stick? :puke: x
Yep, deeeelishus! Chicken and lamb mix for me :)
The only issue is they don't have decent garlic or chilli sauce here. I really should start making my own. I mean, I do already make chilli sauce, just not that type of chilli sauce. If you catch my drift :D
The ones we get here are also sold in a wrapped durum rather than in pita bread. To be honest, they're about a fifth of the size of the "small" ones sold at the shop in the UK my sister goes to - but they are ridiculous!

I have only ever eaten one, years ago whilst I was in London. Oh good grief, I was so sick. I'm like a cat, can't eat anything ever again that has made me sick. Enjoy!! :) We're having a take away curry!! (y) xx
Same here - for me it was strawberries! Aged seven I was a greedy girl, ate too many and too much cream, was sick - and Iโ€™ve never eaten them since! I try every year as they look so nice but, nope - they make me heave. ๐Ÿ‘€
