Cut Pad - Upgraded to "Not cut pad" and "No limp"

Poppy has a cut pad. Noticed just now she has a pronounced limp. On checking, the wound seems clean and no blood. I've applied some antiseptic. Is this a vet job or a just keep her quiet job would you guess?

    Cockerpoo v Labradors

I feel your pain! My son's dog is a 1 year old cockerpoo and we look after her from time to time with our 20 month Labrador. Nightmare doesn't begin to describe it but great fun at the same time. 🤣

Bit of a fright this morning

The tracker worked well but wasn't updating her position quickly enough so when I had her stationary in the wood right next to the line (which is what prompted me to go and look for her) she had actually moved. I've since updated the settings so it updates position every few seconds. It will...

Bit of a fright this morning

Yes I think that's where I made a mistake. When she had disappeared for a while I started to get concerned she had got stuck or onto the railway that backs onto the wood and went to look for her.

Bit of a fright this morning

Popps dived into woodland and didn't come out again. I made the mistake of going to look for her when she didn't reappear and she must have come out and found me gone, panicked and ran off trying to find me on the usual route home. I've got a tracker on her and it updated to show her position...

Op to remove lump on lower eyelid

Poppy says you will be fine, Snowie. She sends big hugs (except she can't do that but says your human can)

Thank you for you lovely comment. No I don't write for a living - just like writing about our dog.

I'd forgotten about that. I used to do it with Lady as a pup. I'll give it a whirl.

    Living with Poppy - 07/11/21

I met up with 3 dog walking friends this morning - a total of 7 dogs in all and we just let them sort themselves out. Poppy settled really well once she'd been told off by a couple of the older dogs. Then she lost me (walking with the others and mixed up with the dogs). I looked round and she...

Yes with yo on that completely. Lady was like having two dogs. Just walking it was "Yeah, right in a minute". Out shooting she was 100% on the job (well 95% of the time %) )

I hadn't looked at the Gundog Club because of some minor history with the people who run it but looking for a local positive trainer should be ok. I'm actually already registered with them but haven't been active since, well, this forum emerged. My previous dog, Lady, was adequate at picking...

Not sure about being a great dog but she's certainly huge fun as long as I don't let her get me too stressed with her antics. 👍

Breakfast Do you enjoy your breakfast? I used to be able to read the paper while I ate my bowl of cereal and had a couple of cups of tea. Then along came Poppy. Lady was a very laid back dog in the mornings; even during the puppy years. Her morning greeting was a waggy tail delivered from...

    5th November - a new experience

Did she make it? One wonders if it would be a good idea to go for a repeat attempt.

    5th November - a new experience

Unlike Lady, who basically couldn't care less about fireworks, Poppy is a bit concerned about the bangs and pops .......... Actually scrub all that! She's just settled down and gone to sleep with it all kicking off outside. I was just about to post that we are reassuring her with calm voices...
