I thought I’d cracked it but apparently not. Hunter grasped the concept of retrieving awhile ago but keeping his attention on the job in hand was difficult. I tried different things balls, toys, kongs etc. He’d do a few good retrieves then get distracted by a stick, smell, rabbit muck...

Can’t believe I missed these @Kelsey. Hugo is just beautiful and it’s lovely to see him playing with his pals. Yogi is gorgeous with some impressive teeth. Good to see Hugo keeping an eye on them for him :happy:

@Naya I’m so sorry your all in this very difficult position of trying to work out what’s best for Harley. It does sound like you have very caring, understanding vets and hopefully if they didn’t think the operation was worth doing they wouldn’t put Harley through it. Sorry if I’ve missed this...

I’m so sorry @Naya . It really is a lot to take in. When I suggested a torn achilles I didn’t think it was actually going to be because you would expect from a thorough examination, X-ray etc that would be obvious. I suppose if it started as a partial rupture it could be missed and as @M.F...

I know it can’t be this because I’m sure your vet would’ve ruled it out straight away as I’m assuming it would be obvious on the X-ray so this is probably of no help it’s just when I read your description of Harley’s hock being almost on the ground when she walks plus the lump it sounded like...
