@Jelinga if I couldn't go abroad every year, I wouldn't bother leaving home either. When Cupar was 5 months old we spent as much money going to Devon and Cornwall in my daughters campervan instead of going abroad and I vowed never again. The weather was atrocious in August.

Here you go, what a day at the beach in July in Scotland looks like , remember it is the middle of summer. I'm wearing trousers and a fleece jacket and was freezing. I had a nice time but we sat in the car to eat our fish supper. This is the beach at Girvan with a view to the Ailsa Craig.

Cupar filled out as he got older. I try to keep mine lean. Rather some rib showing and a noticeable waist, than a square dog that seems to be the norm.
